Final preparations for diaconate ordinations.

In the last few weeks, candidates for the Permanent Diaconate have been making final preparations for their ordinations. Last month they graduated with a Diploma in Diaconate Studies at the Pontifical University, Maynooth. Yesterday on the First Sunday of Advent, during their pre ordination retreat at Glenstal Abbey in Co Limerick, they took their ordination oaths.

For the Diocese of Elphin, Tony Larkin will be ordained in SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Athlone this Friday, December 8th, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception and Martin Reidy will be ordained in the church of the Risen Christ, Kiltoom, Athlone on Gaudate Sunday 17th December.

We remember them, their wives and families in prayer at this special time.

Candidates for the Dioceses of Kilmore and Achonry will be ordained in the coming weeks and months.
